Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.

Are you enthusiastic about swimming and passionate about helping others learn vital life skills? Aquamoves is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Cadet Swim Instructors.

This is a unique opportunity to begin your career in the aquatic industry with full support and structured training. You’ll gain hands-on experience, earn while you learn, and contribute to the health and wellbeing of our community.

The Aquamoves Swim School operates private lessons Monday to Friday from 9.00am-12:00pm and 3.30pm – 7:00pm, Saturday 9-12pm and Sunday 6-8pm (every second weekend). The Swim School also offers an extensive School’s Swimming Program, which operates between 10.00am and 2.30pm.  All lessons run in line with the Victorian School Terms.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine interest in working with children and the community
  • Reliability, motivation, and a strong work ethic
  • Availability for morning, evening, and weekend shifts
  • Commitment to completing required certifications
  • Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Check

This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a meaningful career in aquatics, whether you're a student, recent graduate, or someone seeking a new direction.

What you need to do:

  • Enrol in the Austswim Course (Course at Aquamoves 7th and 8th June)
  • A current employee Work with Children Check
  • A current CPR qualification

Note:  This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period.  During the qualifying period employees will be provided with appropriate on-going induction, support, assistance, resources and training to enable them to meet the required performance standards for the position.
