Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.

Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. Early Childhood Educator - Certificate III (Relievers)

Hourly Rate: $31.23 per hour (plus 25% casual loading)

We seeking Certificate III Early Childhood Educators to join our children’s services on call relief team at Greater Shepparton City Council. As our numbers of children and families are increasing this essential role is required to support our service educator team’s leave within our centres, providing continuation of education and care in their absence with an energetic approach and commitment to excellence in early education.

In addition educators on the relief list are provided with opportunities to take on short term contracts and are considered favourably in permanent recruitment due to their evidence based work skills.

We are looking for passionate and nurturing Certificate III educators with the skills/qualifications and experience relevant to the position as recognised by Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in accordance with the National Quality Framework, to support our 19 services through collaboration, effective communication and exceeding practice.
