Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.

Early Childhood Educator – Diploma – Nancy Vibert Occasional Child Care Centre

Salary: $62,736.96 per annum

Full Time – Temporary (September 2021) 

At Nancy Vibert Children’s Centre we are seeking a Diploma Early Childhood Educator that can commit and offer a holistic, play based curriculum where the children’s interests, culture and abilities are the foundations for developing each child’s self-confidence to succeed.

This role is a full time temporary position, in accordance with service rotational roster. The service operates from 7.30 am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Nancy Vibert offer Long Day Care, Occasional Care and Kindergarten and the role is currently in the 8 place 0-2 year old room. We are looking for an educator who has the capacity to understand this age group, is able to provide a program that shows knowledge of the age group, ability to continuously improve the program through critical reflection and is able to support her team to work to an exceeding standard through communication, inclusive practices and acknowledgement of innovative ideas.  

The successful applicant will have the support of the Council Children’s and Youth Services network and professional development opportunities.

Applicants must have their Diploma in Children’s Services, a current police check, valid working with children’s check, Level 2 first aid, asthma/anaphylaxis management certificates and current CPR.

Note:  This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period.  During the qualifying period employees will be provided with appropriate on-going induction, support, assistance, resources and training to enable them to meet the required performance standards for the position.
